The IRCM CIC’s Terms, Conditions, Toolkit for SELF-CERTIFIED Courses and/or Workshops is in addition to the Terms, Conditions, Toolkit for REGISTERED Formal Education Bodies and Private Commercial Training Organisations.

These terms, conditions, and toolkit only applies to each course or workshop that has gained a Self-Certification.
They do not apply to REGISTERED or LISTED individuals/organisations, or ACCREDITED Professional Bodies.

1. Conditions for SELF-CERTIFIED Courses and/or Workshops on the IRCM CIC’s Education Directory.

These terms, conditions, and toolkit only applies to Formal Education Bodies and Private Commercial Training Organisations (including Coaches and/or Mentors who run training courses/workshops).

All Formal Education Bodies and Private Commercial Training Organisations (including Coaches and/or Mentors who run training courses/workshops) that are REGISTERED on the IRCM CIC’s Education Directory who have selected to self-certify one or more of their courses and/or workshops; have selected to demonstrate their commitment to excellence by abiding by the IRCM CIC’s Codes of Conduct:

If there is any breach of these Codes of Conduct, the IRCM CIC reserves the right to remove the individual or organisation from the relevant Directory, and they may only be reinstated once the breach has been resolved.

Each Formal Education Body and Private Commercial Training Organisation (including Coaches and/or Mentors who run training courses/workshops) agrees to comply with the Toolkit listed below.

Under no circumstances will the individual or organisation imply IRCM CIC approval or suggest that they are in partnership with the IRCM CIC.

In the event of any grievance, dispute, or formal complaint, the IRCM CIC uses the Ombudsman Service.

All grievance, dispute, or formal complaint will be dealt with respectfully in the first instance using the facilitation process.  The Ombudsman Service will ensure that there is no conflict of interest. Should facilitation not provide a satisfactory outcome for both parties, a formal complaints procedure exists to protect both yourself, the IRCM CIC, and all consumers.

2. Toolkit for SELF-CERTIFIED Courses and/or Workshops on the IRCM CIC’s Education Directory.

The International Regulator of Coaching and Mentoring CIC, also known as IRCM is recognised internationally for its work to promote excellence in Coaching and Mentoring, in order that the consumers benefit from high quality services and products within the coaching and mentoring industry.

As a REGISTERED organisation or individual with a current listing on the IRCM’s Directory with one or more Self-Certified Courses/Workshops, you can use the IRCM’s name in full or abbreviated on your website (linking back to your entry), on your stationery, or on other promotional materials to raise your own profile, increase your credibility, and promote your organisation.  Please send a copy of all promotional materials, stationery, prospectuses, signage, exhibition stands, press releases, advertisements, and any other material; and all links where you use the IRCM’s name on your website or any internet materials and where you link it to on the IRCM’s website; to compliance@IRCM-CIC.org to confirm validity of using the IRCM’s name.

  4. Each use of the name must link back to your listing on the IRCM’s Directory.

  5. The IRCM’s name is not your branding, therefore the use of the name must be in proportion to the size of page, advert, etc. and demonstrated accurately as a recognition of your or your organisations listing on the IRCM Directory.

  6. It is important that you represent your listing on the IRCM Directory accurately, and that you are not suggesting that you or your organisation is in partnership with the IRCM.

    for all courses/workshops currently Self-Certified on the IRCM CIC’s Education Directory.

  3. Each use of the status must be an accurate representation of your details on the IRCM’s Directory:

  4. Each use of your status must link back to your entry on the IRCM’s Directory.

It is important that when a Consumer does their due-diligence that they are not faced with confusion.

For this reason, you and your organisation are required to maintain consistency across all platforms in:

  • your name,
  • your organisation’s name, and
  • for Self-Certification of courses and/or workshops, your course/workshop name.

This means if you have Registered yourself or your Organisation or your Training Course/Workshop using a name, that this name must be found across all platforms, from the IRCM’s Directories, through your website, marketing materials, training materials, exhibition materials, and everything and anything in between.

  1. Every Formal Education Body or Private Commercial Training Organisation who selects to Register on the IRCM’s Directory with one or more currently Self-Certified Courses/Workshops and uses the IRCM’s Directory to raise their profile, accepts the terms and conditions stated on this webpage.  
    Please note that these may change and it is your responsibility to be aware of the current terms and conditions.

  2. It is recognised that individuals names may change, but where this change occurs and the individual chooses to change their name for business purposes, it is a requirement that the name is changed on the IRCMs Directory, the individual’s website, and all other marketing, exhibition, etc. materials.
    It is recognised that the individual may confirm their change of name in the text, showing their previous name.

  3. It is recognised that organisations (Formal Education Bodies, Private Commercial Training Organisations, Professional Bodies, Support Groups, etc.) may select to trade under a different name to that of their legally registered name.
    • It is important that both names appear on the IRCM’s Directory, the organisation’s website, and all other marketing, exhibition, etc. materials.
    • Where an individual or organisation is not formally registered but trades under a trading name or their own name, it is important that they are consistent with one or both names on the IRCM’s Directory, their website, and all other marketing, exhibition, etc. materials.

  4. The IRCM provides all Formal Education Bodies, Private Commercial Training Organisations, and Coaches/Mentors who provide training with the opportunity to Self-Certify their courses and/or workshops.  It is important that the course or workshop name registered for self-certification is the same as registered on the organisations/individuals website and training certificates issued.

  5. It is important that you represent your entry on the IRCM Directory accurately, and that you are not suggesting that you or your organisation is in partnership with the IRCM.
    .
  6. You are required to send a copy of all promotional materials, stationery, etc. and the links where you use your IRCM’s Directory entry on your website or any internet materials; to compliance@IRCM-CIC.org to confirm the validity of using the IRCM’s logo.

  7. Where you have gained explicit authority to use your IRCM’s Directory entry on certificates – membership, training, etc. – you are required to submit a template for approval.

  8. Any confusion through the lack of consistency will ensure that your entry on the IRCM Directory is removed, and may only be reinstated once the confusion has been resolved.

You will be issued a certificate for each currently listed Self-Certified Course/Workshop.

Your certificate is the joint property of the named organisation/individual and the IRCM CIC, and remains valid on the proviso that the named organisation/individual pays their annual IRCM Fees and their Declaration is honoured.

The IRCM CIC recommends that you publish your certificate on your website and include a link to your Directory page on the IRCM CIC Directory.

A code of ethics sets out the values and conduct that underpin the obligation of each organisation and individual within the coaching and mentoring industry.

This starts with the IRCM CIC and goes through each different type of organisation, coach and mentor within this industry.

To assist consumers (also known as buyers or end-users) buying the products and services provided by each organisation and individual within the coaching and mentoring industry, the IRCM CIC has created a number of codes including a consumers’ guideline.

As a REGISTERED Formal Education Body or Private Commercial Training Organisation, for each currently listed Self-Certified Courses/Workshops you have agreed to abide by and include in your training material:

The IRCM CIC recommends that you include a link to these in your material, so that your consumers fully understand what you have committed to.

3. Terms for SELF-CERTIFIED Courses and/or Workshops on the IRCM CIC’s Education Directory.

All individuals and organisations within the Coaching and Mentoring industry may select to REGISTER their details on one or more of the IRCM’s Directories.

Formal Education Bodies or Private Commercial Training Organisations who are currently REGISTERED, have the option to Self-Certify one or more of their coaching and/or mentoring training courses and/or workshops.

Where you do not comply with the Terms, Conditions, and Toolkit you will be contacted and if not resolved, your entry will be removed from the IRCM Directory, and may only be reinstated once the reason has been resolved.

Every Formal Education Body or Private Commercial Training Organisation will submit their application to register using the online REGISTRATION process; where the 3.2 Registration submission of the REGISTERED Formal Education Body or Private Commercial Training Organisation Terms apply.

In addition, every Formal Education Body or Private Commercial Training Organisation has the option to Self-Certify one or more of their coaching and mentoring training courses and/or workshops.

Your registration and self-certification will only be confirmed once the payment has been received.

It is a requirement of REGISTRATION and course/workshop SELF-CERTIFICATION that you disclose to the IRCM CIC any convictions, offences, or complaints held or registered against one or more of your Course/Workshop Designers, Trainers/Tutors/Lecturers/Teachers, Faculty, Owners, Directors, Managers, and Leadership team.  This information is not made public, but may be used by the Ombudsman Service should a complaint be made against you or your organisation.

The initial REGISTRATION application includes a one-off registration fee.  (This is an administration fee to cover the cost of ensuring that your registration is valid and processed in a timely fashion.)  Each Self-Certification fee does not include a one-off registration fee; only the initial application fee and annually recurring renewal fee.

Your REGISTRATION will remain valid for as long as your annual fee is paid.
Your SELF-CERTIFICATION will remain valid for as long as your annual REGISTRATION fee is paid, and your SELF-CERTIFICATION renewal fee paid.

Your REGISTRATION will remain valid for as long as your annual fee is paid.
Your SELF-CERTIFICATION(s) will remain valid for as long as your annual REGISTRATION fee is paid, and your annual SELF-CERTIFICATION(s) fee is paid.

Where your annual fee is not paid, your Directory listing will be changed from REGISTERED to LISTED.
Your course/workshop SELF-CERTIFICATION(s) will expire should your annual REGISTRATION fee not be paid.

Where your SELF-CERTIFICATION(s) renewal fee is not paid, your Directory listing will reflect the change in status.

You may update or change your Directory entry details.

It is recommended that if you or your organisation are no longer trading, or not working within the coaching and mentoring industry; that you de-register.

The IRCM CIC may select to remove your entry from the relevant Directory if:

  • The Code of Conduct is breached.
  • The Terms, Conditions, and Toolkit is breached.
  • You bring the IRCM CIC into disrepute.
  • A formal complaint is made and after investigation, is determined to have foundation and your or your organisation are Sanctioned.
  • For non-payment of annual fees.

Your Directory entry may be reinstated.

You may promote your organisation and self-certified courses/workshops inline with these Terms, Conditions, and Toolkit.

The IRCM CIC may select to promote your organisation or self-certified courses/workshops through it’s News, website, social media, or press releases.

Where you have a new launch, you are encouraged to contact the IRCM CIC Communication Department and request the IRCM CIC’s support in your launch.

All individuals and organisations agree, when joining, acknowledge and accept the IRCM CIC’s Data Protection Policy and Data Privacy Statement.
